Throughout the semester the brothers have participated
in many community service projects. During the holiday season
many brothers and parents sent presents and food for needy families
in the Warren County community. A special thanks to Terry & Janice
Becker for their generous donation to the chapter for these events.
The brothers also appreciate the various gift baskets sent to
the house during finals week. The brothers enjoyed a wide variety
of snacks and food while they prepared for their final examinations.
On December 13th seven brothers helped at WKU?s 154th Commencement
by assisting disabled citizens be seated in Diddle Arena. The
chapter first participated in this event in the Spring of 2003
and was recognized by the University for their help. The event
was a success again this Fall.
On Saturday Feb 7th, Zeta Mu held its semi-annual Brotherhood
Retreat at St. Aquinas Catholic Church. Present at this semester’s
retreat were facilitators Jay Underzagt, Jason Lippy, Nick Pfeiffer,
Housing Corp Officer Tony Rhoades, and Chapter Advisor Randy Bracey.
The brothers began the day with an eye opening Red Bull ice breaker,
and throughout the day the brothers and pledges participated in small
breakout sessions. To finalize the day, the brothers watched a video
shown at the 2003 Balfour Workshop.
Afterwards each brother, pledge and facilitator enjoyed a well-deserved
barbeque dinner at nearby Fletcher House. Following the dinner, there
was a “private” party at the house for everyone who participated
in the days events.
On February 14, 2004 the Chapter went to Atlanta, Georgia
for the 2004 Spring Sweetheart Ball. The events were held at the Doubletree
Hotel in Buckhead. The Chapter crowned the new Sweetheart, Alisha
Yates from Crossplains, TN. Alisha was the past President of AOPi
and is currently serving as Panhellinic President. We are very proud
and honored to have her as our Sweetheart. (more pics under Events).
